Terms of Service

The service and these terms
People Know People is a product of Beshears Advisory LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). It is a subscription software platform for business networking groups: referral tracking, meetings, group communication, member and guest management, a resource library, group email, and impact reporting.
These terms are an agreement between Beshears Advisory LLC and the group that subscribes, acting through its admin(s). By creating a group, signing in, or using the service, you accept these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a group or organization, you confirm you have the authority to do so.
The subscribing group is responsible for the accounts it invites. Admins invite members and manage guest records; members must be old enough to form a contract and use the service for legitimate business networking.
Subscriptions, trial, and billing
The plan is $99 per month per group, with unlimited members, billed monthly through Stripe. Charges appear on your card statement under Beshears Advisory LLC. Prices may change in the future; we will give admins at least 30 days' notice before a price change affects an existing subscription.
New groups receive a 30-day free trial of the full product. A payment method is required at signup, you are not charged during the trial, and the first charge happens automatically when the trial ends unless the subscription is canceled first.
Fees do not include taxes. If sales tax, VAT, or similar taxes apply to your subscription, they may be added to the charge or invoiced as required by law.
Cancellation, failed payments, and reactivation
Admins can cancel anytime from the billing settings inside the portal. Cancellation stops future charges; access continues through the period already paid for (or, during the trial, until the trial would have ended). Canceling before the trial ends means you are never charged.
If a renewal payment fails, the subscription enters a grace period of about 10 days while Stripe retries the card. During the grace period the group keeps full access and admins see a notice asking them to update the payment method. If payment still cannot be collected, access to the portal is paused until billing is fixed.
A paused or canceled group can reactivate at any time by restarting the subscription — the group's data is retained (see Your data below) so everything is exactly where it was left.
Payments already made are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise; if you believe you were charged in error, contact us at hello@peopleknowpeople.com and we will review it in good faith.
Your data and your content
Your group owns the content it puts into the service — referrals, profiles, meeting records, guest records, discussions, uploads, and everything else your members create. You grant us only the limited license needed to operate the service: to store, process, display, back up, and transmit that content to your group and its invited users.
Admins can export the group's full data at any time, including after a subscription lapses. If a subscription ends, we retain the group's data so the group can reactivate later; an admin can instead ask us to permanently delete it.
Group admins have broad authority within their group: they can see and manage member and guest records, send group emails, remove content, deactivate members, and export data. Members joining a group should understand that the group's admins administer the group's data.
We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
Acceptable use
Use the service only for lawful business networking. Do not upload unlawful, infringing, or malicious content; do not attempt to access other groups' data or probe the service's security; do not interfere with the service's operation; and do not misrepresent who you are.
Group email and notifications must not be used for spam. Admins may email their group's members and invited guests about group business; they must not upload purchased lists, email people who have no relationship with the group, or ignore requests to stop. Each admin is responsible for complying with anti-spam laws (such as CAN-SPAM) for the messages they send.
Uploaded content (photos, logos, images, resources) must be content you have the right to use. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules, and we may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations — with notice where practical.
Our intellectual property
The service itself — the software, design, and the People Know People name and branding — belongs to Beshears Advisory LLC and its licensors. These terms do not transfer any ownership of the platform to you, and you may not copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the service. Your group's content remains yours.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We work hard to keep it accurate, secure, and available, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the extent the law allows.
The service records what your members enter — it does not verify referrals, guarantee business outcomes, or provide professional, legal, or financial advice. Reports reflect the data your group puts in.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for all claims arising out of the service is limited to the amounts your group paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing limits your group's obligation to pay subscription fees owed.
Indemnification
Your group will defend and hold us harmless from third-party claims arising out of your group's content or your group's violation of these terms or the law — for example, a claim that content a member uploaded infringes someone's rights, or a complaint arising from emails an admin sent through the service.
Termination
You can stop using the service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material violation of these terms, non-payment after the grace period, or if we are required to by law. If we terminate without cause, we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid period. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (data ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification, governing law) survive.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Arkansas. Before filing a claim, both parties agree to try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally by contacting the other first.
Changes to the service and these terms
We improve the service continuously and may add, change, or retire features. We may also update these terms; if a change is material, we will notify group admins by email or an in-product notice before it takes effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to a change, cancel before it takes effect.
