Why this exists
People Know People was created for groups where relationships drive opportunity—but the systems for tracking referrals, communicating between meetings, and showing value have not kept up.
Referral groups run on trust and follow-through. The tools they inherit — spreadsheets, group texts, email chains — are where follow-through goes to die. We built one simple place for the introduction, the follow-up, the outcome, and the proof.
This isn't an outsider's guess at what groups need. It started as a tool built inside a working networking group, by one of its officers, to run that group — and it earned its place feature by feature before it ever became a product.
Who's behind it
People Know People was built by Tim Beshears, founder of Beshears Advisory LLC. Tim isn't a software vendor who studied networking groups from the outside — he has spent years inside them as a member giving and receiving referrals, and served as an officer in his own group, carrying the responsibility of keeping it healthy and proving it was worth every member's time.
This product wasn't dreamed up in a pitch deck. It began as a tool Tim built to manage his own group, and it was tested there over a long stretch of real meetings, real referrals, and real renewals. That kind of testing is ruthless: features that sounded good but didn't help got dropped, and what survived is the small set of things that actually make a group work. The testing killed the noise and left the value.
The problem it solves showed up week after week: the group was creating real business, but nobody could prove it. Referrals were given in hallways and group texts, follow-up depended on memory, and by renewal time the closed business had evaporated into 'I think that worked out?' Leaders spent meeting time chasing updates instead of building the group.
People Know People is the answer that came out of living that: software small enough for a volunteer-run group to actually use, focused on the one thing these groups exist to do — turn relationships into business, and make that value visible. And Tim is still in the room — an active member of the same world this software serves, using it the way you will.
